Rigging Instructions

Rigging non cam sails:

1. Join the mast together and make sure it is fully engaged.
2. Slide the mast into the sleeve. When the mast is approximaetly 2/3 of the way up walk to the middle of the mast to feed the sail the rest of the way. Place one hand through the boom opening and hold the mast, then gently pull on the sleeve.
Attempting to feed the mast up fully from the bottom can damage your sail
3. Set your extension to the printed recommended length
4. Thread the line and apply the downhaul
5. Set the boom to the recommended setting and attach it onto the mast
6. Thread the line and outhaul to the recommended settings

Derigging non cam sails:
1. Release outhaul
2. Remove boom from the mast
3. Release downhaul
4. Take the mast out of the sail
5. Roll sail from the top and ensure there is no creasing of the sail
6. Use the elastic to ensure the sail stays rolled up

Rigging cammend sail requires a different procedure..

1. Lay sail out with the cam zippers facing up and the zippers open. Avoid abrasive surfaces
2. Sleeve  the mast passingit over the top of the battens. You can’t just push the mast right up the sleeve you need to work it on bit by bit. You need to ‘compress’ the sock. This may be something you don’t want to do with your new acquisition, but does less damage than trying to force it up.
3. Adjust extension to the required length, fit to mast and thread downhaul
4. Downhaul until enough mast is exposed in the sleve cutout to fit the boom
5. Fit the boom, attach the outhaul and tension
6. Loosen the downhaul off with the outhaul still tensioned
7. Now place one hand into the cam acces slots and pop the cams on the mast while pushing down on the batten with hte other hand, strating from the top cam
8. Close the zippers and downhaul to the required setting. (If you have forgotton to close the zippers prior to downhauling do not try to force the zippers closed without easing somedownhaul off. Trying to close the zippers with full downhaul tension can damage the zippers.)
9. Tension outhaul to the required settings
